Twelve days in one carry-on, the resort-wear rule, and what belongs in your personal item rather than your case.

Packing well is a matter of restraint and sequencing, not gadgets.

Build around a three-colour palette so every top works with every bottom. Two pairs of shoes for a beach itinerary, three if the trip includes a city and an evening event. Roll knitwear, fold tailoring, and use one pouch per category so nothing is unpacked at security.

Your personal item carries the trip-critical set: medication in original packaging, chargers, one full change of clothing, swimwear, and your documents. Checked luggage delays are recoverable. A missing prescription is not.

For resort stays we send a property-specific list — some villas provide everything from reef shoes to formal dress codes for dinner.
